It was really nice to talk to Marshall on Christmas day. We were able to talk to him for almost 2 hours. Those of you that know Marshall, knows that that is a miracle in and of itself. His mission president told him in his last interview that he has seen Elder Goodrich grow quite a bit since he first came out and sees him doing great things. Here is a compilation of his last two letters.
Ya I know the tough times will pass. I've already gone out of my comfort zone, I talk to pretty much everyone now so I'm doing pretty good now, better than I was earlier in my mission. I know I need to lose my self. I know that as I serve I will have a better time and be more focused on the work. I'm being the best leader I can right now. We are working really hard so its going better than what it was but we still only get along some of the times cuz there really isnt anything I can do to help him except work and let him do what he wants to do. I'm reading the new testament and its pretty boring right now but Im learning a whole lot more about the bible and I will get to the really good stories sooner or later haha. I would've hated that long car ride to Rexburg, but it was for a good reason and spending time with the Smiths would've been way cool so I maybe would've gone haha. I'm trying my best to do good and be good. Thanks for the advice.
I hate snow now it kinda stinks doing work in it and its really windy but I'm out here for a reason so I love it.
Love yall
Elder Goodrich
