Hope everything is going well. How's school & work going for you guys? Well, I'm doing good. My companion is pretty cool; we get along good. We both like sports, etc. We don't really tract a whole lot here; mostly when an appointment falls through we go knock some doors. Saturday was the 1st time someone slammed the door. HAHA. It was kind'a mean but whatever. We've met a lot of good people here and a lot not so good, but it's all good. We're doing the Lord's work and getting blessed for it. We teach over 3 lessons a week and our investigators are awesome.
Well last week our zone leaders had a meeting with the stake presidency and we are the most baptizing ward in our zone and this is the most Danville has baptized in a long time. So that's a big blessing.
Well this one time we were tracting with Cortez and almost got the cops called on us. It was pretty funny. The lady was very mean. We would have a few investigators we were teaching at the beginning and then they didn't want to meet with us anymore so for a while it was hard to find new investigators but we're doing pretty good at that.
Well our investigator getting baptized Sat the 12th - she's awesome. We've been teaching her since I got here and when we met her she kept saying she was "saved" (everybody says that down here) but as we explain things to her we helped her understand from the scriptures. She drank tea, coffee, smoked and we told her to give it up and it wasn't a problem for her. She's getting "anti" crap but since she got a witness about the priesthood, she knows it's true and says she's gonna die a Mormon :) We have a few investigators that want to come to church so that's way cool. We met James and his fam last week and we were just tracting and people were on his porch and they were high. HAHA. Then he came out and wanted a BOM so we taught him and he understands what we're teaching and he came to church and really liked it and said that's how churches are supposed to be.
Well Danville is going pretty good but there's a lot of crazy people here. We're also teaching a fam we found; they seem kind'a interested but I don't know. So we're doing very good here and it's awesome.
Some of the members here are pretty cool. We hang out with the Johns and the Tubbs and they feed us or whatnot. The Johns are way cool and he's ex-military and has a lot of cool stories. His wife is from Nevada and knows my comps family. We play bad mitten there a lot on P-Days. The Tubbs are hilarious. He tells us all the funny stories from his mission and we laugh all the time and she's cool, plays softball. They have a little boy and he's very cool. Lately we've been doing home run derbies and I dominate every time. :) There's a few more cool members. Sis Anderson feeds us and we do service for her and she's a great woman. Those 3 fams right here are pretty much the only members that will come teaching with us.
Well the missionary life is a little difficult but I'm pretty much used to it now. I wakeup at 6:30 but I'm still a little tired. That's about it now. We exercise for a little bit. The teaching thing and talking to people is the easy part.
Well, sounds like you guys are having a good time in Moses. Oh, well, studying from the scriptures and PMG helps me a lot and I've already read the BOM and am reading it again and studying the Bible since I don't know a whole lot about it.
Well hope you guys have had a great week and tell Eric hi for me and everybody else.
Is there anything else you gus wanna know about the mission, etc? Just let me know.
Luv you guys, Elder Goods
PS Thanx for the pics. Hope to get some more soon and to hear from you guys.
